1966 Ford F100

Traveling around with our two classic cars we received a lot more attention than we expected. At every stop we would have someone come up to us and want to speak with us. Some people just wanted to know what four college guys were doing piled into an old Beetle, some wanted to tell us about their old cars or how they learned to drive on a car like ours, others however wanted talk (a lot) to us and wanted me to make sure I got their picture.

Curt's grandfather bought Ol' Blue brand new in 1967. He used the truck just to pull his camper to the lake and to haul wood around his property. Curt's mom drove it to school when she was in Highschool and then growing up Curt remembered many sunny days driving around in the truck with his grandfather. Then somewhere along the way the truck stopped working and on Curt's 15th Birthday they gave him the keys. They said he could have the old truck under the condition of having to get it running again. Curt did a lot of work on it and sanded it down and spray painted it with gray primer. His grandfather died his freshman year of college and Curt's goal became to restore it back to how his grandfather had it. Curt doesn't plan on ever getting rid of it. His grandmother was also very excited about us taking the truck on the roadtrip. It made her so happy to know that Curt and his friends enjoy doing some of the same things that her husband did using the same truck he had, she had raised her kids in, and now the truck was continuing to bring enjoyment to her grandson.
